Description
Hi there appears to be no Instant Messaging or IRC client installed. I think installing emesene,amsn,xchat,pidgin,irssi would be great to save people from having to using meebo or mibbit which in a cloud computing sense are non-free.
All the programs mentioned are packaged for debain and do not have licencing issues so installtion should be trivial.
Emesene is a less featureful but prettier replacement for Windows Live Messenger aMSN replaces Windows Live Messenger's functionality almost completely but doesn't look as nice. pidgin is a multiprotocol IM client for gnome which allows IRC, MSN, Jabber and many other networks to be used alongside each other from the same place. Xchat is a GUI irc client for gnome irssi is a command line irc client
